This fortnight saw the school reverberate with excitement as students commemorated two unique days – Bird Day and World Peace and Harmony Day.

Zoya Gupta of our class, MYP 1C , initiated the participation of all students by suggesting that we all use a bird’s name as our last name for the day. Students created colourful badges and wore their name tags all day. The chirpy sounds that echoed in the corridors of our school brought a smile to everyone!

On World Peace and Harmony Day, students walked to the venue of a special assembly holding hands, symbolising togetherness and acceptance of one another. They created original slogans and logos and presented their posters. Deep thought had gone into each of the posters, offering hope to one and all that the youngsters will take us all towards a harmonious world.

ENGLISH: Now that we have read the novel, we are in the process of analysing the characters. For this, we have begun using the organiser STEAL by identifying how the character in question speaks, thinks, affects others, acts and looks. For each of these, we found evidence from the text to support our claim. We have worked in groups and picked our favourite character from the book to analyse. We have been using appropriate and relevant vocabulary to describe the characters. Our presentations are ready to be shared in class.
